Mumbai, Jan 25 (IBNS): Team Jai Gangaajal has embarked on their city promotions and after impressing Kolkata, they headed towards Pune and there they saluted the great work that's being done by the city's cops.

During their Pune visit, the director of the film Prakash Jha along with its antagonist Manav Kaul, paid a visit to the city's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). They met ACP Bhanupratap Barge, in-charge of ATS Pune unit, and his team and had a very lively interaction with them.

The director-actor duo lauded their noble yet dangerous line of work. Jai Gangaajal's trailer was screened for the officers of Pune ATS and it received an overwhelming response from everyone who was in attendance.

Talking about his experience at the ATS, Prakash Jha said, "It was great to meet the Pune ATS incharge, ACP Bhanupratap Barge, whose team is discreetly doing the great work of identifying the breeding of terrorist mindsets among the youth of Pune and it was an amazing experience interacting with him and his team."

Team Jai Gangaajal also visited the Pune Police Control Room and met the female cops, whose hard work and vigilance is helping keep the city safe.

"In the police control room, I met all the women who are running it. Pune is country's only city, which is entirely covered with CCTV cameras and I met the operators there who keep an eye on the city 24/7," revealed Jha.

The female cops too applauded the trailer of the Priyanka Chopra starrer, which revolves around a female IPS officer, who is brought in a well-oiled system of the powerful, as she is thought to be weak, pliable and easy to manipulate however, things become difficult for them, when she comes into a confrontational mode. The brave cops also posed for selfies with the filmmaker.

Milind Dabke, Head of Play Entertainment, the Producer of the film, along with PJP, who had also accompanied the film's team to Pune, stated, "It was a great experience to meet the Pune ATS officers and the female cops of the city and it was a moment of great pride for us when they appreciated and applauded the film's trailer. Play Entertainment is proud to be associated with a meaningful yet commercial cinema like Jai Gangaajal."

Written and directed by Prakash Jha, produced by Prakash Jha Productions and Play Entertainment and co-produced by Milind Dabke, Jai Gangaajal revisits the dusty heartland of Central India and examines the society–police relationship. Starring Priyanka Chopra, the movie is all set to release on March 4

Jai Gangaajal is not a prequel or a sequel to Ajay Devgn starrer Gangaajal but is a fresh story.
