Bollywood Singer-Actress Shruti Haasan turns 30

Mumbai, Jan 28 (IBNS) Bollywood actress and singer Shruti Haasan turned a year older as she celebrates her 30th birthday today.

Shruti, born on 1986 to film stars Kamal Haasan and Sarika is the older of the two siblings.

A trained musician, she made her acting debut with 'Luck' in 2009 alongside Imran Khan and Mithun Chakraborty.

Shruti is active in moth Bollywood and the Southern film industries.

Apart from acting, she also composed music for her father Kamal Haasan's film  Unnaipol Oruvan.

On her birthday, she wrote on twitter : "Happy birthday to me ! I feel blessed loved happy and so fortunate thank you for the love and blessings always."

Thanking her fans for their wishes, she wrote: "Oh my god I'm so overwhelmed by all the love thank you so much for all the love on my birthday my beautiful Twitter friends !!!!"

The actress is set to host a party with her closest friends and family members, according to sources.

The source revealed, "Shruti has had a great run at the movies in 2015 both Bollywood and the South and has a massive year ahead especially after the launch of her production venture Isidro. To commemorate the success of last year and the enthusiasm for the year ahead, Shruti has decided to celebrate her birthday with close friends and family in Chennai, which is home for her on Jan 28. Her father Kamal Haasan and sister Akshara will be there along with a number of her close ones who're flying in from different parts of the country to be part of her special day."
