Sonam Kapoor inaugurated a plaque dedicated to Neerja Bhanot at St. Xavier's College

Mumbai, Feb 5 (IBNS) Actress Sonam Kapoor who is busy promoting her upcoming film Neerja inaugurated a special plaque dedicated to the memory of Neerja Bhanot at the latter's college, St. Xavier's College in Mumbai, on Friday.

Neerja Bhanot was a sincere and a proud student of Xavier's Institute of Engineering. 

The plaque was instilled in the educational institutes premise as a mark of respect to the brave-heart Neerja Bhanot who was a student of the college.

The Management of the institution is of the opinion that the plaque would help remind the students of the College of the heroism of Neerja Bhanot and would further serve to be a motivational factor to exercise courage and bravery.

While unveiling the plaque, Sonam Kapoor shared trivia about the brave heart, Neerja and encouraged the present students in the audience to be like Neerja Bhanot.

Neerja Bhanot, a student of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, sacrificed her life while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5 September 1986.

Directed by Ram Madhvani and Produced by Fox Star Studio's and Bling Unplugged. The film is all set to release on Feb 19.
