Amitabh Bachchna, Aamir Khan pray for India solder's survivor

Mumbai, Feb 10 (IBNS) Indian celebrities have joined the rest of the nation to pray for the Indian soldier who was recovered days after he was buried under more than thirty feet of snow and ice since an avalanche stuck their post in the early hours of Feb 3 and is currently fighting for his life in a Delhi hospital.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: "We pray for him that protects us in extreme circumstances and serves his country .,PRAYERS FOR L/N HUNUMANTHAPPA and his recovery."

Actor Aamir Khan said: "Praying for the speedy recovery of our brave soldier Lance Naik Hanumanthappa Koppad. Our thoughts are with him, his wife & his family..Kudos to the recovery team who have fought against all odds in the most difficult conditions to bring about this miracle."

"Our salute to all his comrades whose lives were lost in this calamity. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Jai Hind," he said.

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur posted: "Surely even death and destiny must give in 2 the sheer will of #Hanumanthappa ..praying for #SiachenMiracle recovery."

Former top cop Kiran Bedi said: "Salute the Indian Army and our brave soldier for the Siachen rescue. Such situations are the real test of indomitable spirit and leadership."

Indian soldier Lance Naik Hanumanthappa, who was recovered days after he was buried under more than thirty feet of snow and ice after an avalanche stuck their post in the early hours of Feb 3, is currently fighting for his life in a Delhi hospital.

Officials said he is currently comatose  and has been put under ventilator.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited Siachen avalanche survivor, Lance Naik Hanumanthappa, in hospital.
