Kolkata, May 17 (IBNS) Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, who will soon be seen in film Omung Kumar's 'Sarbjit', said the movie has changed his life.

"Never anticipated will see this phenomenal pre-release response for Sarbjt. One goes about doing his job. I think ever since my weight loss in prison picture came out this happened and my life has changed," the 'Main Aur Charles' actor told IBNS during a visit to Kolkata last weekend.

Asked if it was mentally taxing to portray characters like Charles Sobhraj (Main Aur Charles) and now Sarbjit Singh, Randeep
said, "Of course you should live with them. That's the only way."

"A singer is an artist, a painter is an artist, a dancer is an artist. You know how much riyaz (practice) they have to do to perfect the art. If an actor is an artist then he has to do the same thing," Randeep said.

On his research material and sources while performing as Sarbjit, Randeep said, "I think I have already given 20,000 interviews on that
subject."
Starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha in pivotal roles, the movie is based on the true story of the death of Indian prisoner Sarbjit Singh in a Pakistani jail after being brutally assaulted by other inmates.

Directed by Omung Kumar, Sarbjit is slated to release on May 20.

The film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

Randeep, who is also turning up in Salman Khan-starrer Sultan,  said "My role in Sultan is a terrific and interesting role but you must watch Sallubhai."

Randeep, the brand ambassador of a well known fabrics brand Indian Terrain, said he found Kolkata girls beautiful and they have wonderful fashion sense.

"Men here, I feel could also be a little more fashionable," he observed.
