Mumbai, Aug 9 (IBNS): Shahid Kapoor's performance in Udta Punjab has created waves across.

The actor who put in all his acting prowess in delivering a character like Tommy Singh has been the talk of the town.

In fact the news has reached a long way.

Later news being, a leading documentary channel who is working on encapsulating a documentary on how actors work on preparing for their characters are very keen to have Shahid be a part of the show for the incredible transformation that he underwent for Udta Punjab.

The show makers want to interview Shahid for him to share his insights on the brilliant change that he personally underwent to play a rockstar, Tommy Singh.

When the makers came across Shahid's glimpses in the film, they immediately decided to approach the actor to share his experience on playing such a character.

Shahid has literally gone under a physical and rigorous mental change to match this character.

The film makers along with Shahid intact took a month long period only to lock the actors look! Interesting point being, Shahid who is a teetotaller in real life had to play a character of a drug addict.

Spokesperson added, Shahid's character Tommy Singh has stayed with audiences across.

The actor continues to receive all the love from his fans via letters and social media.
