Ajay Devgn demands inquiry into KRK's claim of being paid by KJo to praise ADHM

Mumbai, Sept 2 (IBNS): In the latest B-Town fight, actor Ajaya Devgn and director Karan Johar have engaged in an all out war over a controversial audio tape in which Kamaal R Khan (KRK) is heard receiving money from the director for bad mouthing 'Shivaay'.

'Shivaay' is an ambitious project of Ajay, which he is directing himself.

Shivaay is all set to clash at the box office with Karan Johar's directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The two were already heard to have differences since both their films were set to release on Diwali this year.

In an audio tape tweeted by Ajay, Kamaal R Khan is heard to confess foul play to bad mouth 'Shivaay'

In a taped telephonic conversation between Kumar Mangat, Ajay's business partner, and KRK, the latter is heard confessing that he has to speak positive things about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as he has allegedly received Rs.25 lakhs from the Karan Johar.

Getting angry over the issue, Ajay has demanded an investigation to be conducted to expose the truth and to find out if Karan indeed paid 25 lakhs as KRK is claiming.

In his statement available with the media, Ajay said: “I have been a part of the Indian film industry for the past 25 years and have been associated with over 100 films. My father was a professional action director and I have an emotional connection with this industry."

"It therefore pains me to see that people like Kamaal R Khan are holding the film industry to ransom by spreading negativity about films to extort money from producers," he said.

Ajay said, "It is very sad that people from our own industry are supporting such elements and spoiling the ethos of the film industry."

"I would strongly demand that this be thoroughly investigated by competent authorities to clarify if Karan Johar was indeed involved in this,” said he.
