'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', 'Shivaay' earn over 10 crores on opening day

Mumbai, Oct 29 (IBNS): Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and Ajay Devg's 'Shivaay' competed at the Box Office on the Diwali weekend with both the movie earning more than Rs. 10 crore on the opening day.

While,  'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' earned Rs. 13.30 crores on the opening day, 'Shivaay' made upto Rs. 10.24 crores on the first day on Friday.


Informing on the box office collections, film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#ADHM Fri ₹ 13.30 cr. India biz... EXCELLENT at plexes... Note: Dhanteras. Pre-Diwali."

On Shivaay, he said: "#Shivaay is STRONG at single screens/mass circuits... Fri ₹ 10.24 cr. India biz... Note: Dhanteras. Pre-Diwali."

Karan Johar's latest movie 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', which is being considered as one of the biggest releases of the year, hit the silver screen across the nation on Friday.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Dharma Productions, Directed by Karan Johar, the film features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan.

On the other hand, actor Ajay Devgn's latest movie Shivaay hit the silver screen across the nation.

The  film directed and produced by Ajay Devgan.
