Kunal Kapoor starrer Veeram receives great response at IFFI

Mumbai, Nov 29 (IBNS): “Veeram – Macbeth” starring Kunal Kapoor in the lead role and directed by ace director JayaraJ Nair, was recently screened at the 47th IFFI festival.

Many delegates from Kerala, especially from the Media, graced the festival and watched the film before a packed audience.

Long queues were seen before the movie hall much ahead of the movie's premiere. The film was screened in The Indian Panorama section.

“Veeram-Macbeth” is an adaptation of the Shakespearen classic drama Macbeth, based on the legend Chanthu, a warrior in northern Kerala.

Starring Kunal Kapoor in the lead role the film has been shot in three languages, English, Hindi and Malayalam and is touted to be one of the most expensive Malayalam films.

The teaser of the film has already gone viral!

Directed by national award winning film-maker Jayaraj Nair, the film has been produced by Chandramohan Pillai and Pradeep Rajan of Chandrakala Arts.
