Begum Jaan declared tax free in Jharkhand

Mumbai, Apr 9 (IBNS): The film, Begum Jaan, starring Vidya Balan in the titular role, has been declared tax free in the state of Jharkand by state Chief of Minister Raghubar Das.

This would be applicable from 14th April, i.e., the day of release.

Begum Jaan is the first big Hindi feature film to have been shot primarily  in Jharkand.

The Government of Jharkand has awarded a subsidy of Rs. 2 crores toward the cost of production of the film.

Written and directed by Srijit Mukherji, Begum Jaan will release in cinemas on  April 14.
