Nagesh Kukunoor's assistant Aniket More bags Dadasaheb Phalke award for 'Left Hand Rule'

Mumbai, May 10 (IBNS): Write-director Aniket More, who has assisted Nagesh Kukunoor on Lakshmi, has bagged the Dadasaheb Phalke award for his first short film, Left Hand Rule.

The film presses the issue of child labour and their education.

The director has shot the film in a way that the end surprises the viewer with an unexpected turn in the story, leaving a smile on their face and yet delivering a strong message.

The elated young director says,"I am very happy to receive this award, it was a proud moment for me. This is a first milestone of my career." Earlier this short film was showcased at Filmfare short films."

When asked further about his mentor Nagesh Kukunoor, he says, "After working with Nagesh sir it has helped me to find my goal and I am thankful to him."

Talking about his future projects, Aniket says, " I am working on two webseries with Kadak films right now, Chader Palti Lodge' and 'Namita's suicide letter from Canada."
