Mumbai/Beijing, May 13 (IBNS); In an unprecedented run, Bollywood movie Dangal has emerged as number one at the Chinese box-office, overtaking its Hollywood counterparts on the way.

The Aamir Khan starrer, which had the whole country going gaga over it, has found new faithfuls in China.

Dangal has so far grossed over 200 crores (31,026,993 USD) in the neighbouring nation, after grossing over 700 crores (108,594,477 USD) at the desi box-office.

"#Dangal biz in China is an EYE-OPENER... Week 2 starts with a BANG: Fri $ 6.14 mn [₹ 39.42 cr]... Total: $ 33.24 mn [₹ 213.43 cr]. HISTORIC!," an ensuing tweet read.
