Anushka Sharma becomes part of Indian govt's Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan campaign

Mumbai, May 30 (IBNS): Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma has become part of Indian government's ambitious Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan campaign.

As part of the campaign, she has urged people to adopt healthy sanitation practices and construct toilets.

Anushka tweeted: "Honoured to be a part of @swachhbharat campaign. Please adopt healthy sanitation practices & construct toilets to ensure #SafetyForWomen ."

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign by the Government of India to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country's 4,041 statutory cities and towns.

The campaign was officially launched on Oct 2, 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
