Mumbai, Apr 23 (IBNS) Sabbir Khan's upcoming film Heropanti has 21 new actors. Apparently the director wanted to cast new faces and the auditions went on for 3 months.

Aspiring actors from all over the country came for auditions and 21 got selected. Most of them are from stage and theatre backgrounds.

According to a source, "Sabbir wanted to cast as much new talent as it was Tiger and Kriti's debut film, and he wanted a fresh approach.

The auditions which were to go on only for a month, stretched on for 3 months. Sabbir's personal friends from advertising and his assistants jumped in and spent days and nights making tapes for the director and trying to meet the deadline

The casting director says, "Sabbir sir was extremely particular about sticking to the script and getting the right actor for the particular part.

Director Sabbir Khan said, "Basically it's an ensemble cast. My team auditioned actors for nearly 3 months from all over India and got all these 21 actors together who have done a remarkable job in the film.

‘Heropanti’ is a coming of age love story of two young conflicting protagonists and their battles with society.

Presented by UTV Motion Pictures & Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sabbir Khan, the movie is slated to release on May 23.
