Mumbai, Dec 13 (IBNS): Actor- turned- producer Anil Kapoor is going to adapt the hit American TV series Modern Family for Indian Television.

Confirming this, Anil Kapoor said, “Yes, I’m close to finalizing the deal. Once all the stakeholders come together, we will take a call on the talent and the channel. Making a show is as time-consuming as making a film, but I’d like it to go on air as soon as possible.”

While the plot and story of the show could seem a bit forward for Indian audiences, Anil Kapoor feels that the audience is evolving and will enjoy the show.

He said, “I think India is ready for a Modern Family. The middle-class is growing rapidly and we have a new government that makes the future look bright.”

However, the details are not locked yet and are in process. Anil Kapoor is also working for the next season of 24 which is in pre-production stage and will take couple of months to go on floors.

Besides working on these two television series, Anil Kapoor has also been busy with his film commitments. He recently finished shooting for Aneez Bazmee's Welcome Back and Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do.
