Padmaavat touches Rs. 300 crore mark

Mumbai, Mar 16 (IBNS): Director Sanjay Leela Bhansli's last released movie Padmaavat has touched the Rs. 300 crore mark.

The movie has even survived 50 days and is still running in the country.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted :"Despite protests and agitations... Despite no release in two states... #Padmaavat survives all odds... Completes 50 days... Crosses ₹ 300 cr... 7th film to swim past ₹ 300 cr mark [NettBOC]... Data and details follow."

The movie features Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.

Padmaavat had witnessed immense protest and violence by fringe groups ahead of its release this year.

It even did not release in two states amid protest over its 'content'.

Padmaavat released in India on Jan 25.

It was the first major release of the year.
