Shooting for Tiger Shroff's Student Of The Year 2 begins

Mumbai, Apr 9 (IBNS): Filmmaker Karan Johar on Monday said shooting for new movie Student Of The Year 2 has commenced.

He, however, said the final cast of the movie will be named on Wednesday.

"The student journey begins again!!!! #SOTY2 ! The announcement of the final cast on Wednesday the 11th!!!! Watch this space....break a leg @punitdmalhotra @iTIGERSHROFF @DharmaMovies @apoorvamehta18 @foxstarhindi," Johar tweeted.

The movie is directed by Punit Malhotra.

Makers Dharma Productions said actor Tiger Shroff was part of the first day's shoot.

Dharma tweeted: "STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2 - DAY #1 on set. Today, director @punitdmalhotra and his team begin their journey at Saint Teresa’s with @iTIGERSHROFF & the girls. Give us a in the comments to wish them luck! @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @foxstarhindi #SOTY2."

Tiger Shroff starrer Student of the Year 2 will release on Nov 23, 2018, as the makers of the film have finalised the release date.

Tiger tasted success recently with his new film Baaghi 2.

The film will be directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar.

Student of the Year, the first part, starred Varun Dhawan, Sidhart Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The film was released in 2012 which marked the debut of the three now prominent stars of Bollywood.
