Los Angeles:  Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of rock'n'roll legend Elvis, died after suffering from cardiac arrest, media reports said.

She was 54.

Her mother and actress Priscilla Presley was quoted as saying by BBC: "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us."

Lisa was earlier rushed to a hospital.

Sources tell TMZ that Lisa was pronounced dead at the L.A. area hospital where she was taken after suffering cardiac arrest Thursday morning.

Lisa Marie Presley developed a career in the music business and issued three albums: To Whom It May Concern in 2003, Now What in 2005, and Storm & Grace in 2012.

Her first album reached Gold certification with the Recording Industry Association of America.

Presley also released non-album singles, including duets with her father using tracks he had released before he died.

Presley was married to musician Danny Keough, singer Michael Jackson, actor Nicolas Cage, and music producer Michael Lockwood.
