Hollywood strikes: Drew Barrymore halts talk show return following backlash
After facing backlash following her decision to resume filming, actress Drew Barrymore has decided to pause the premiere of her US talk show until the ongoing Hollywood strikes are over.
Informing her fans about her decision to halt the premiere of her daytime talk show 'The Drew Barrymore Show', Drew wrote on Instagram: "I have listened to everyone and I am making the decision to pause the show's premiere until the strike is over.'
"I have no words to express my deepest apologies to anyone I have hurt and, of course, to our incredible team who works on the show and has made it what it is today," she said.
Drew said: "I truly hope for a resolution for the entire industry very soon."
She was planning to return to screens on Monday.
She took the decision to resume filming despite the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.
Interestingly, the shooting for the fourth season of her show took place recently.
Drew, earlier, said the show followed all strike rules.
However, she faced backlash on social media over her decision.
