Gear up for Mr. and Mrs. Smith once again, Prime Video announces release date

| @indiablooms | 18 Nov 2023, 06:12 pm

Prime Video has announced the release date of the upcoming TV series  Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

The series is a reboot of the original 2005-released movie of the same name which featured Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Interestingly, it was this movie which brought Jolie and Pitt together and they eventually decided to marry each other.

The couple, however, later got divorced.

The eight-episode series will be available on February 2, 2024, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Apart from announcing the release date, makers also unveiled five new images from the series.

In the series, Glover will feature as John Smith and Maya Erskine (PEN15) as Jane Smith.

"In this version of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, two lonely strangers land jobs working for a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travels, and a dream brownstone in Manhattan. The catch? New identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith. Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high-risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What’s riskier: espionage or marriage?" read the statement issued by Prime Video.
