Singer Nick Jonas and actress Adrienne Warren will feature in The Last Five Years on Broadway next year, media reports said.
The revival of the musical, which features a score and book by Jason Robert Brown, will be directed by Whitney White, a Tony Award nominee for Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, reported The Hollywood Reporter.
The show first premiered in 2001.
It also had off-Broadway shows in 2002.
The exact date of the latest run of the show has now been announced so far.
“I have always believed that when the time was right, The Last Five Years would make its way to Broadway. To have Nick and Adrienne taking on these roles is a composer’s dream come true, and to have Whitney’s extraordinary guidance and vision is the hope of every playwright. It has taken twenty-five years, but the time is right,” Brown was quoted as saying by The Hollywood Reporter.
Confirming the development, the official Instagram page of the show said: " Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren star in the first Broadway production of The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown, directed by Whitney White. Sign up now for first access to tickets: TheLastFiveYearsBroadway.com."
