Comedian Vir Das introduced a budding Delhi-based couturier, named Shubhangi Bajpai, who designed his attire for the 52nd International Emmy Awards, which he hosted in New York City on November 26.

Vir made the revelation on his social media platform.

In an Instagram post, the celebrated comedian wrote hours before hosting the award show, "As promised. I will be wearing a brand new designer for the Emmys. As promised, I know nothing about fashion. But she does and she worked super hard.

"Her name is Shubhangi Bajpai and she is from Delhi. Happy to show you her work soon. Do keep in mind, she doesn't have much to work with here."

As he walked the red carpet, Vir looked dapper wearing a white shirt, single-buttoned black jacket and lungi-modelled pair of trousers.

Last year, Vir Das had won the Emmy Award for his Netflix special titled Vir Das: Landing in a tie with Derry Girls - Season 3.

As an actor, he was last seen in Prime Video's comedy-drama series Call Me Bae, which stars Ananya Panday in the lead.
