Steven Spielberg pays extra attention on 'Bridge Of Spies'

Los Angeles, Oct 13 (IBNS): The maverick filmmaker Steven Spielberg has left no stone unturned while filming his upcoming film 'Bridge Of Spies'.

In fact, Steven Spielberg was so particular about everything related to the film that, he himself auditioned the extra's for 'Bridge Of Spies'.

The film is based around the premise of the Cold war era, he was very clear about the way he wanted the people on the streets look.

Extensive research was done to finalize the proper look and feel of over 300 extra's, who were involved during the film making.

The way they look or be it the way they dress, everything was closely monitored by Steven Spielberg.

Costume Designer of 'Bridge Of Spies', Kasia Walicka Maimone said, "On somedays we had more than 300 extras on set, and we couldn’t put them all in suits or it would look as if they were attending an insurance convention. So it was our job to deliver a sense of reality in those scenes. We discussed every single extra that needed to be dressed because in order to represent a crowd effectively, you need to have a good mix of people. When having to present a crowd which represents the humanity and the streets of New York, the collaboration starts with the extras casting director, because it’s much easier to dress people when they have great faces."

The film stars Tom Hanks in the lead role along with other Hollywood heavyweights like Mark Rylance and Amy Ryan.

'Bridge Of Spies' is all set to hit the theaters on Oct 16.
