Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor-led Ramayana, a film based on the Hindu epic of the same title, will be released in two parts.

The first part will be released in 2026 and the second in 2027. Both the parts will be released on the occasion of Hindu festival Diwali.

Revealing a poster of the film, producer Namit Malhotra wrote on X, "More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen."

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Sai Pallavi, Yash alongside Ranbir.

Ranbir plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi Sita and Yash is set to essay Raavan in the film, which is poised to become a big budget affair at the box office.

Apart from playing Raavan, Yash joined hands with Namit Malhotra to co-produce the epic saga.
