SVF announces films engaging top Tollywood actors slated for 2022 release
Kolkata/IBNS: SVF Entertainment has announced its new slate of upcoming releases of 2022.
With people coming back to the theatres again, the wide range of theatrical releases includes an array of genres from thrillers to romances.
The films engage some of the biggest names of Tollywood including Srijit Mukherji, Anirban Bhattacharya, Mimi Chakraborty, Sandip Ray, Arindam Sil, Abir Chatterjee, Ishaa Saha, Dhrubo Banerjee along with young talents Madhumita Sarcar, Anirban Chakrabarti, Vikram Chatterjee and more.
Along with them, Debasish Mondal and Suhotra Mukhopadhyay will make their big-screen debut this year.Films slated for 2022 release
The Eken: A mystery thriller where actor Anirban Chakrabarti will reprise the role of Ekenbabu while Debasish Mondal and Suhotra Mukhopadhyay will be seen in prominent roles in the movie along with Paayel Sarkar.
The Eken is all ready to hit the theatres on Apr 14.X=Prem: Srijit Mukherji’s X=Prem is a romantic journey of four very different individuals connected with one string.
Scheduled to release on May 13, the film deals with the story of a couple, who go through various challenges and turmoil of life resulting from an unexpected turn of events.Mukherji has roped in Arjun Chakrabarty with debutants Anindya Sengupta, Madhurima Basak, and Shruti Das for the film.
Kuler Achaar: Kuler Achaar is a family drama that will tell a story of a middle-class family where the daughter-in-law is not determined to change her surname after marriage.With the ensemble star cast of Madhumita Sarcar, Vikram Chatterjee, Indrani Haldar and Neel Mukherjee, Kuler Achaar will hit the theatres on Jun 3.
Khela Jawkhon: Arindam Sil is back with a psychological thriller Khela Jawkhon starring Mimi Chakraborty, Arjun Chakrabarty and Susmita Chatterjee to tell the story of Urmi and Sagnik who lost their only child in a horrific car accident.It is slated for Jul 1 release.
Byomkesh: Arindam Sil’s fourth instalment of Byomkesh based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s incomplete story Bishupal Bodh will bring back the iconic Byomkesh Bakshi portrayed by Abir Chatterjee from the house of SVF on the big screens after almost four years.
Sohini Sarkar will play the character of Satyabati once again while Suhotra Mukhopadhyay will be seen as Byomkesh’s favourite companion Ajit.
Slated to release on Aug 11, Byomkesh Bakshi’s expedition to solve an incomplete murder mystery will keep the audience on the edge of their seat.Karna Subarna’er Guptodhon: After the 2021 Blockbuster Golondaaj, Dhrubo Banerjee brings back the thrilling adventure of Sona da, Jhinuk and Abir in the third film of Guptodhon franchise, Karna Subarna’er Guptodhon.
Sona Da will be back on the silver screen on Sept 30 for a dangerous quest to unearth one of the greatest treasures Bengal has ever known.Ballabhpurer Roopkotha: Anirban Bhattacharya makes his feature film directorial debut with Ballabhpurer Roopkotha. All set to release on Oct 21, the film is a quirky horror-comedy that revolves around the unconventional story of a night’s hullabaloo of actions which will turn Ballavpur Rajbari into a temple of chaos with a few living beings and a 400-year-old ghost.
Hatyapuri: Directed by Sandip Ray, Satyajit Ray’s Hatyapuri is a murder thriller where the three musketeers’ vacation is upturned when they discover an unidentified dead body on the beach.Feluda being inquisitive as always, sets his search for unravelling the mystery behind the murder.
With progress, a web of dark truth is revealed as Feluda, Topshe and Jatayu dig deep into the case.The out-and-out Feluda adventure will hit the theatres on Dec 23.
