The trailer opens with an introduction to a girls’ hostel named Kumudini Bhavan, where Durba is one of the residents, and has an ongoing affair with Rwik, an alleged ‘mentally challenged’ boy and the hostel owner’s grandson.

However, misfortune strikes and after she’s seen threatening another resident and then dies of unknown circumstances. A police officer, bored with his job, takes over the investigation and his right hand becomes the new girl at the hostel, Anusree.

On her request and desire to solve cases, he takes her under his wing, and they interrogate people who live and work at the mess.

Many more mysteries are unveiled and theories around the murders are heard. Some consider it to be a crime of passion while others are clueless. The trailer ends with a comical interaction between Hochi and Anusree, establishing their connection while solving this case.

Speaking about her role, Ushasi says, "My long cherished dream was to play a detective role. I had instantly agreed to do the series reading the script once. I was very excited. I felt like my dream was coming true."

Ambarish shares, "It's a very different role. I have played comedy roles a lot. But now I like to play comedy roles with a different taste. This character is exactly the one I would prefer."
