Koel Mallick's 'Jongole Mitin Mashi' is an 'adventure film' with wildlife conservation message, film's poster out now
Kolkata/IBNS: Senior Bengali actress Koel Mallick will return to big screens after a break for two years with filmmaker Arindam Sil's upcoming Bengali film 'Jongole Mitin Mashi'.
'Jongole Mitin Mashi' is the second film of the 'Mitin Mashi' franchise. The first installment was also directed by Sil with Koel in the lead cast.
In addition to the first installment, 'Jongole Mitin Mashi' will deal with wildlife conservation for which the film's poster was launched at Alipore Zoo here last Saturday on the occasion of World Elephant Day.

Speaking at the poster launch, Koel, who was last seen in 'Bony', told IBNS, "It is definitely a special feeling because poster launches are generally done at a five star hotel or a cafe. But this time it has been launched at Alipore Zoo, thanks to the entire team. It's a great feeling."
She added, "Perspective changes in life. In younger days, we feel excited to see the birds, animals (at the zoo). But obviously when I grew up, I realised birds are meant to fly in the sky and not live in cages. It's inhuman to keep a bird in a cage for our enjoyment.
"In the same way, 'Jongole Mitin Mashi' is having a message for conservation of wildlife conservation and anti-poaching. I think consciousness and mindfulness towards wildlife will be ignited in people's minds through this film."

Mitin is a popular woman detective created by novelist Suchitra Bhattacharya.
Dressed in a shirt with elephant prints, Sil says, "Jongole Mitin Mashi is not just a detective film or a thriller but an adventure film which speaks of love towards wildlife and forest.
"We wanted this pujo to be greener with thoughts for wildlife, forest."

'Jongole Mitin Mashi' is slated to be released during Durga Puja.
The film will have a box office clash with a number of Indian films including three major Bengali ones, Srijit Mukherji's 'Dawshom Awbotar', Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee's 'Raktabeej' and Dev starrer 'Bagha Jatin', which are also planned to get theatrical releases in Puja.
