Dabaru: First song 'Jhogra Kori Chol' from Chirajit Chakraborty-Rituparna Sengupta's film out now

Kolkata/IBNS: 'Jhogra Kori Chol', the first song from Tollywood veterans Chiranjit Chakraborty and Rituparna Sengupta starrer upcoming Bengali film 'Dabaru' has been unveiled by the makers.

Composed by Prasen, 'Jhogra Kori Chol' is sung by Mainak Mazoomdar and Surangana Bandyopadhyay.

Speaking about the song, Prasen says, "We poured our hearts and souls into crafting the music for 'Dabaru,' aiming to evoke the emotions and aspirations of our protagonist, Souro.

"Making a love song for teenagers was really fun; it was as if going back to my teenage days, remembering my teenage crush."

Inspired by the remarkable life of Grandmaster Surya Sekhar Ganguly, 'Dabaru', which is directed by Pathikrit Basu, is a captivating tale of determination and triumph, following the journey of a young chess prodigy named Souro as he emerges from the streets of North Kolkata to achieve greatness.

Apart from Chirajit and Rituparna, the film features Dipankar De, Kharaj Mukherjee, Koushik Sen in pivotal roles.

Produced by Windows Productions, filmmaker Shiboprosad Mukherjee is involved in the film as the creative producer.

The film will hit theatres on May 10.
