Mimi Chakraborty pays tribute to Tagore on Rabindra Jayanti with her Amar Hiyar Majhe music video clip
Kolkata/IBNS: Leading Bengali film actress Mimi Chakraborty on Wednesday shared a clip from her music video on Rabindranath Tagore's song 'Amar Hiyar Majhe' paying tribute to the Nobel Laureate on his birth anniversary.
"Humble tribute," says Mimi captioned the video on her Instagram profile.
Speaking of the music video, which was released last year, Mimi earlier told IBNS, "I receive a lot of requests from the audience to make videos on Rabindrasangeet. I thank my fans for supporting me."
Interestingly, Mimi's second work, Gaaner Oparey, a daily soap created by late Rituparno Ghosh, marked the beginning of yearlong celebration of Tagore's 150th birth anniversary in 2010-2011.
Mimi, a Tollywood A-lister, was last seen in Premendu Bikash Chaki's romcom Alaap, which released on April 26.
Co-starring Abir Chatterjee, the film has garnered positive reviews.
The actress delivered a massive hit Raktabeej, co-starring Abir Chatterjee, last year. She also went on to make her OTT debut with Hoichoi web series Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo in January 2024.
The actress is gearing up for her next release, Toofan, a film co-starring Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan and actress Nabila in the lead.
