Sohini Sarkar and Shovan Ganguly get married, wishes pour in

Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali film actress Sohini Sarkar and singer Shovan Ganguly on Monday tied the nuptial knot putting all speculations to rest.

The couple confirmed it by dropping a set of pictures and the moment of their marriage on Instagram.

In a loose translation, the Bengali caption to the post reads, "We are together within a year after meeting."

Sohini and Shovan got married at an intimate ceremony, which was attended by some of their friends and colleagues.

While Sohini wore a maroon Benarasi saree, Shovan opted for a white kurta-pyjama.

Though neither of the two openly acknowledged their relationship, Sohini and Shovan were rumoured to be dating since last year.

Sohini had celebrated her birthday with a few close friends including Shovan somewhere outside Kolkata. The two even had reportedly undertaken a trip.

Several Tollywood celebrities like Mimi Chakraborty, Vikram Chatterjee, Ishaa Saha, Anindita Bose, Sandipta Sen have congratulated the couple.

On the work front, Sohini, who has earned critical acclaim for her skillful acting, was last seen in Arna Mukhopadhyay's Athhoi, the cinematic adaptation of William Shakespeare's Othello.

The 'Phoring' actress essayed Desdemona in the film, which co-starred Arna and Anirban Bhattacharya.
