Kolkata/IBNS: Bollywood singer Vishal Mishra's song 'Tomar Akashey' from upcoming Bengali film Shontaan, which features Mithun Chakraborty in the lead, has been unveiled by the makers, SVF.

Composed by Jeet Gannguli, the heartwarming track encapsulates the emotional essence of the film.

The song's visual presentation portrays the poignant dilemma between a father and son (Mithun Chakraborty and Ritwick Chakraborty respectively).

Through evocative imagery and nuanced storytelling, the track reflects their internal struggles. The interplay of raw emotions makes the song a centerpiece of the film.

Sharing his experience, Vishal Mishra said, "The song explores universal themes of connection and longing, resonating with universal emotions."

Speaking on the collaboration, the film's director Raj Chakraborty expressed, "Music is the soul of my films and with Jeet Gannguli crafting the soundtrack, I knew Shontaan would be no exception. Vishal Mishra’s voice is the perfect match and connects effortlessly with the audience. It was a pleasure."

Featuring Tollywood A-lister Subhashree Ganguly alongside Mithun and Ritwick, Shontaan is set for December 20 release.
