"Like their real lives the two sisters have contrasting temperament. But both are good friends of mine. In the film one loves to cook and another to savour the dishes. And this was my first film with Riya," Parambrata says at the promo of the film Roga Howar Sohoj Upay (Simple Weight Loss Tips) here.
"I had worked with Raima previously in many films, so the chemistry you talk about had already been there. We share vibes," he says about the Baishe Srabon and Hawa Bodol co-star apart from many other films.
Asked to dwell on the contrasting temperament between the two sisters, Parambrata says, "The two have different takes on life and career apparently but both are honest and simple. Both are fun loving girls."
"When I first heard the script I thought it was nothing but a self-indulgent twaddle of a crazy person. I still gave my words," he says with a wink.
However, in next sessions the story line was fleshed out in a script and the whole idea turned out to be a satire with romantic angles.
"This film can better be explained for the audience with funny bones. We know our audiences have the appetite for good comedy," the Chotuskone actor says.
Director Debaloy avers that Parambrata's wit, personality and intellectualism makes him the ideal choice for the main lead.
"It is an attempt to laugh at ourselves without any malice. You can guess from the name of villain - Cholesterol," he says about the flick produced by Sri Venkatesh Films, which is set to be released this week.
