Percussionist Prodyut Mukherjee condoles Pt. Shankar Ghosh's demise

Kolkata, Jan 23 (IBNS): New age percussionist Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee on Saturday condoled the passing away of Pt. Shankar Ghosh, who was one of the finest Tabla Exponent from Farukhabad Tradition.
Remembering Pandit Ghosh, who died at a private hospital in Kolkata on Friday, Mukherjee said: "A Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee in Tabla, Pt. Shankar Ghosh played extensively with likes Maestro of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Pt. Ravi Shankar, Ustad Vilayat Khan, Pandit Nikhil Banerjee, Vidushi Sharan Rani, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Pt. Vinayak Rao Patwardhan not name a few."
 
"I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my guruji Pt Shankar Ghosh. He was absolutely the best teacher I ever had and I was fortunate to have him for 14 years in my life," Mukherjee said.
 
He said Pandit Ghosh was the greatest teacher he ever had. 
 
"I will truly miss him! He was the greatest teacher I ever had.While I mourn the loss of a great man, I feel blessed that he was a part of my life," said he.
 
Condoling his death, Mukherjee said, "My deepest sympathy to the family.May his soul rest in peace.You will be always in my heart Guruji.There is simply no words to express my sorrow for the loss of my Guruji who had a huge impact in my musical career."
