Kolkata: Trailer of upcoming film Aroni Takhon, starring Prateik Babbar, launched

Kolkata, May 23 (IBNS): The trailer of upcoming Tollywood film, Aroni Takhon, with Prateik Babbar in the lead role, was launched recently in Kolkata.

Directed by Sourav Chakraborty, the film is based on the novel 'Kamor' by Sarbani Mukhopadhay.

The musical love story stars Paoli Dam,Prateik Babbar and Indraneil Sengupta as three important pillars.

This film is mainly set on the backdrop of the Babri Masjid demolition and the Godhra incident.

It depicts the life changing journey of a girl from Runa Reza to Aroni and the search for unconditional love.

Aroni Takhon marks the debut of Prateik Babbar in Bengali films, the actor plays Mansij Dutt,a notorious activist and a womanizer. Aroni is Paoli Dam.

Prateik Babbar said: "My parents have acted in  Bengali films in the past. Even I had the dream to work in a Bengali film. I feel the story of Aroni Takhon is very beautiful as well as sensitive."

Indraneil Sengupta will be seen as Sumanta Sinha Roy as the man in Aroni's life.

The film also talks about communal conflict and how it affects the life  of people.

Veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee will also be seen in a very important role.

Singer and music director Anupam Roy has used Gujarati Kathiawari tune for one of the songs

The film has already done its marketing in Paris and Australia and will hit Indian screens on June 9.
