SVF partners with Srijit’s Matchcut; to co-produce 3 feature films and 1 web series
Kolkata, Jan 30 (IBNS): SVF, Eastern India’s largest movie production house SVFand eminent film director Srijit Mukherji’s Matchcut Productions announced plans to co-produce 3 Bengali films and a web series in the coming years.
In a yet another pro-industry initiative aimed at expanding Bengali cinema, SVF joins hands with Srijit for his first venture into film production.
These 3 films and the web series will be over and above the 3 Srijit directorials -Uma, Ek Je Chilo Raja &Kakababur Protyaborton-already announced during “SVF Stories 2018” a fortnight ago.
The untitled film is based on writer Shankar’s famed novel “Chowringhee” and will star the biggest names in the Bengali film industry- Prosenjit Chatterjee, Abir Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, Anjan Dutt, Jaya Ehsan and Mamata Shankar.
