Ayush Anand on his role in Banni Chow Home Delivery: I am playing a very sophisticated yet shrewd and money-minded brat
Mumbai: Ayush Anand starring in the show Banni Chow Home Delivery recently went on air. He plays Viraj, the negative lead in the show.
The actor is hopeful that the show and his character will connect with the audience.
Ayush is seen wearing contact lenses for the character. “It was my idea as I wanted to look a little different from my previous characters and thankfully the makers agreed on this. Viraj is nothing like what I have done before. I played a psycho man in Perfect Pati and here I am playing a very sophisticated yet shrewd and money-minded brat,” he says.
The actor has added a comic touch to the character. “It’s the things that happen with the character and the way this character responds to those situations makes it a perfect combination of evil and comic. I enjoy playing such varied shades. I am always hungry for good work and the hunger never ends. And, I think it’s true in terms of every profession. The day a person is content, they stop growing,” he adds.
Ayush is a method actor and very professional too. “I forget about my character the moment I remove my makeup. I love acting and I equally love my personal life, time and space. I also never allow the negativity in my character to affect me because I live in the moment and forget it as soon as the shot is over,” he explains.
OTT boom is here to stay and every actor wants to explore the medium. Reacting, Ayush says, “I believe every actor’s biggest temptation is to come on the big screen whether via OTT or TV or
theatre.”
Over the years Ayush has maintained a lean physique. “Regular exercise and diet is my secret. I have been on a diet for 15 years now. I measure and cook meals on my own everyday and have been exercising since 15 years without any breaks or cheat days,” he adds.
Giving a parting message to fans, he urges everyone to stay positive. “Take care of your health and diet and keep watching and supporting us. We are nothing without your love and support,” he says.
