'Can't think of quitting TV': Rooqma Ray returning to small screens with 'Roopsagore Moner Manush'
Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali actress Rooqma Ray, who was recently seen in popular web shows, is set to return to small screens with Sun Bangla's upcoming daily soap 'Roopsagore Moner Manush'.
The trailer of the daily soap was launched by the makers on Wednesday.
In the daily soap, Rooqma plays the protagonist, named Purna, who lives with her father and family at the police quarters.
Purna, who is brilliant in studies, focussed and head strong, is aspirant to fulfill her father's dream.
On whether she could connect to the role, Rooqma told IBNS, "I felt connected to the character from the first day. Rooqma in real life lives a fun life with family. The bonding of a simple middle class family is explored in the daily soap.
"Purna tries to solve every problem and stands by whoever needs her support, which is the same for Rooqma."

Rooqma, who caught the limelight on television with her role in 'Kiranmala', featured in 'Kundo Phuler Mala', 'Khorkuto', 'Desher Mati','Laalkuthi' et al.
After gaining fame on small screens, Rooqma worked on web shows 'Rahasya Romancha Season 3', 'Byomkesh Season 6'.
In the brief break from TV, Rooqma recently featured in Zee5 web series 'Roktokorobi' and Hoichoi's 'Noshtoneer'.
On her OTT exploration and TV comeback, Rooqma said, "I wanted to explore and work on OTT. I still want to work on OTT. Since I started my career on television, I can't think of leaving it. So I returned. I may work on both OTT and television simultaneously."
The daily soap, which is directed by Shamik Bose, also features actress Anjana Basu in a pivotal role.

On her working with Shamik and the team, Anjana Basu said, "I had a friendly atmosphere on the set. The director, cast and the entire team matter to me while working."
'Roopsagore Moner Manush'- produced by SVF Television- will be aired daily at 8:30 pm from July 3 on Sun Bangla.
