Television actor Nitin Chauhaan commits suicide at 35, co-stars express shock

Mumbai/IBNS: Reality show Splitsvilla 5 famed television actor Nitin Chauhan has allegedly committed suicide, media reports said.

He was 35.

Nitin passed away on Thursday, sending shockwaves to the Mumbai TV industry.

A friend of the actor told The Times of India, "We came to know today morning when his father and sister called us revealing  that Nitin had passed away and they mentioned  that the cause of death was suicide."

Apart from Splitsvilla 5, Nitin is known for working in Zindagi Dot Com, Crime Patrol, Gumrah: End of Innocence, Savdhaan India.

He was the winner of reality show Dadagiri Season 2.

Mourning his demise, his co-actor Ssudeep Sahir wrote in an Instagram story, "Rest in peace buddy."

Nitin's another co-star Vibhhuti Thakur wrote, "Rest in peace my dear... really shocked and sad.. wish u had the strength to face all the troubles... wish u were mentally strong like ur body."
