Toronto, Sep 12 (IBNS): World premiere of the film  'Husband Material' or Manmarziyaan in Hindi, directed by Anurag Kashyap and starring Vicky Kaushal, Abhishek Bachchan, and Taapsee Pannu, was held Tuesday at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

'Husband Material', also known as Manmarziyaan presents a spirited girl, burdened with societal and familial pressures. She is caught in a complicated love triangle between Vicky (Kaushal) and Robbie (Bachchan).

Playing opposite rising star Vicky Kaushal and newcomer Taapsee Pannu, Abhishek Bachchan, popularly called Bollywood Royal, makes his return to the big screen in Husband Material.

Husband Material goes beyond the archetypal masala where Bachchan plays a surprising role on the classic romantic triangle.

Rummi (Pannu), living with her extended family in Punjab state, doing her best to be a good daughter is attracted to Vicky (Kaushal) but when her family learns about this affair, they press Rummi to accept marriage to Robbie (Bachchan).

The film celebrates Bollywood tradition, with its love complications and family obstacles combined with a maturity in the way it explores those first flushes of both desire and disappointment.

The theme of the story revolves around whether either of the men in Rummi's life is a true husband material?
