Academy Awards: Green Book wins Best Picture Award, Bohemian Rhapsody shines
Los Angeles, Feb 25 (IBNS): Peter-Farrelly directorial American comedy-drama film, Green Book, won the Best Picture Award in the 91st Academy Awards, which was held at the Dolby Theatre here on Sunday.
Bohemian Rhapsody, a 2018 biographical film about the British rock band Queen, has won big though failed to clinch the Best Picture Award unlike in the Golden Globe Awards 2019.
Rami Malek has won the Best Actor Award for Bohemian Rhapsody.
"I may not have been the obvious choice, but I guess it worked out," Malek said after winning.
Apart from the Best Actor Award, Bohemian Rhapsody has won for Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.
Olivia Colman has won the Best Actress Award for film The Favourite.
After receiving the award, Colman said: "Any little girl who's practicing their speech on the telly...you never know!"
Alfonso Cuaron has won the best director award for Roma.
Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson have won the best original song for A Star Is Born.
Apart from the Best Picture Award, Green Book won in categories Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor in Supporting Role (Mahershala Ali).
