‘8/12' (Binay Badal Dinesh Saga) trailer out now

Kolkata/IBNS: Kan Singh Sodha's production house KSS Productions and Entertainment's upcoming film '8/12’ (Binay Badal Dinesh Saga)'s trailer release was launched on Wednesday.

The trailer launch event was held on Dec 8 at BBD Bagh, in front of the statue of Binay Badal Dinesh.

The event commenced with a wreath-laying ceremony to the statue. 

The trailer of '8/12' (Binay Badal Dinesh Saga) was launched on the very historic day of Binay Badal Dinesh’s Writers' Building attack.

On Dec 8, 1930, Binay Basu, Badal Gupta and Dinesh Gupta entered the Writers' Building, shot to death the Inspector General of Prisons, N.S. Simpson to avenge the torture meted out to the revolutionaries by the British regime.

It is quite clear in the trailer that the historical event is going to be showcased in the Arun Roy (‘Egaro’ and ‘Hiralal’ famed) directed film vividly.

Kinjal Nanda has played the role of Binay Basu, Badal Gupta has been played by Arna Mukherjee and Remoo acted as Dinesh Gupta. Saswata Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, Shankar Debnath, Devraj Mukherjee, Anushka Chakraborty and Gulshanara Khatun will also be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

The trailer has been launched In the presence of producer Kan Singh Sodha, director Arun Roy,  Kinjal Nanda, Arna Mukherjee, Remoo, Gulshanara Khatun, Anushka Chakraborty and Soumya Rit (music director, '8/12’ Binay Badal Dinesh Saga).

Speaking about the release of the trailer, producer Kan Singh Sodha said, "I am proud to be on this stage today. I am proud as an Indian to stand on this stage today and pay my respects to the eminent freedom fighters like Binay Basu, Badal Gupta and Dinesh Gupta."

"There is a lot of hard work, a lot of sacrifice involved in the making of this film. Hope everybody enjoys the movie trailer. We hope that the audience will see the story of Binoy Badal Dinesh's heroism on the big screen in January next year," he added.

Director Arun Roy said, "Our independence is the result of much struggle and sacrifice made by our brave freedom fighters, Binay Badal Dinesh trio is certainly one of those names who should be remembered with absolute reverence.

"Many of us have almost forgotten about Binay Badal Dinesh's sacrifice. Their historic intrusion into the Writer's building on Dec 8, 1930 – going to be showcased through our film, in the trailer audience will get just the glimpse. We hope that you enjoy the trailer as well as the film altogether. "

In the trailer launch was also present the police personnels who were in their duty.

One of the senior police officers said, "I'm extremely thrilled to watch the trailer. It reminded me of my training days. It gave me goosebumps. I remember watching his first film 'Egaro'. It was an amazing film , the trailer of '8/12(Binoy Badal Dinesh Saga)' looks terrific."
