Aamir Khan congratulates Vinesh Phogat on winning Gold at Asian Games

Mumbai, Aug 20 (IBNS):  Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who played the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat in the biopic on Phogat family, congratulated wrestler Vinesh Phogat for winning Gold at the Asian Games 2018 being held in Indonesia.

In a tweet, Khan wrote: "Congratulations Vinesh for winning the Gold in the Asian Games. We are all so proud of you.
Love, Aamir and the team of Dangal.
Mhaari chhoriyan chhoron se kam hai ke!"

Aamir had featured in the role of former Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who is the father of Vinesh, in the biopic Dangal.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film also stars Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra as wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat respectively.

Dangal released on Dec 23, 2016 in India.
