Akshay Kumar's PadMan releases today

Mumbai, Feb 9 (IBNS): Actor Akshay Kumar's PadMan released in India on Friday.

Akshay urged his fans to watch the movie.

" This, I think is the biggest achievement of #PadMan...men and women breaking the taboo and discussing about menstrual hygiene PADMAN TOMORROW @PadManTheFilm @sonamakapoor @radhika_apte @mrsfunnybones @SonyPicsIndia @kriarj #RBalki #9Feb2018 ," he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the movie has received positive response from critics.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: " #OneWordReview... #PadMan: WINNER. Rating:- Realistic. Inspiring. Engaging. Deeply moving... A big THUMBS UP."

Another critic Komal Nahta said : " R. Balki's #Padman is an enjoyable fare and has a fine social message. Yet another winner from Akshay Kumar."

Critic Anupama Chopra tweeted: "REVIEW: The gap between good intentions and a good movie - my take on #Padman."

PadMan is directed by R Balki.

It features actors Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte.
