Mumbai/IBNS: Alia Bhatt was one of the many top B-Town celebrities including Rekha, Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal to attend the gala premiere of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut web series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Among all stars, Alia, who is the leading Bollywood star, offered an elegant look dressing up in a dusky pink pearl sharara, which has been designed by Seema Gujral.

The price of the sharara, which she wore with dupatta dangling in her arms, is Rs. 1,32,000, a report by ETimes claimed.

The actress, who walked the red carpet with her mother Soni Razdan and mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor, styled her sharara with long earrings and a bindi.

Alia's presence in the 'Heeramandi' premiere was expected as she is known to be close to Bhansali, an ace filmmaker who cast her in the 2022 film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'.

Alia essayed the role of brothel owner Gangubai in the film, which turned out to be a massive success in the box office and also earned the actress her first National Award.

'Heeramandi', the series is based on the stories of love and betrayal in the lives of courtesans in pre-Independence India, promises to have the grandeur like every other works of Bhansali has shown.

The series has an ensemble cast featuring Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sonakshi Sinha et al.

'Heeramandi' will premiere on Netflix on May 1.
