Bollywood celebrities remember Mahatma Gandhi on birth anniversary

Mumbai, Oct 2 (IBNS); With India observing the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation, Bollywood celebrities also remembered him on Tuesday.

Remembering him, Anushka Sharma, actress, tweeted: " This #GandhiJayanti, we salute the teachings of the man who's truly Made in India. Let's celebrate his spirit with #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia. @Varun_dvn @yrf @SuiDhaagaFilm."

Actress Sonam Kapoor said: "We are incredibly lucky to have had such an illustrious Indian leader! Today, on Gandhi Jayanti, let's take a moment to remember his teachings on honesty, humility, compassion and pledge to practice what he preached."

Actor Varun Dhawan remarked: "To the man who stitched India's spirit with threads of self-reliance. We salute the Father of our Nation. Celebrate this Gandhi Jayanti with your family by watching #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia. @AnushkaSharma @yrf @SuiDhaagaFilm."

Actress Raveena Tandon remembered Bapu, as Gandhiji is fondly called, and tweeted: "Remembering our Father of the Nation on his birth anniversary
Just want to wish for peace, humanity, love & happiness today! #HappyGandhiJayanti to everyone."

Actress Kajol, who will soon be seen in Helicopter Eela movie, said: "Gandhiji always said, be the change you want to see. This Gandhi Jayanti let’s remember what he stood for.
