Bollywood celebs grace the first Uttar Pradesh Pravasi Diwas

Lucknow, Jan 8 (IBNS) The first Uttar Pradesh Pravasi Diwas, which was held in Agra, the city of Taj Mahal from Jan 4 to 6, witnessed the presence of several Bollywood celebrities like filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan.

CEO of Wave Cinemas Rahul Mittra, who was also the first filmmaker to get subsidy from Uttar Pradesh for his film Saif Ali Khan & Sonakshi Sinha starrer Bullett Raja, directors Sudhir Mishra & Muzaffar Ali, Meera Ali, actor Sanjay Khan and son Zayed Khan, Masaan director Neeraj Ghaywan and singer Anoop Jalota attend the 3- day- long state festival. 

The filmmakers also attended a round table discussion on art, culture and tourism as the rising soft power of Uttar Pradesh.

The festival also gave away awards to 16 eminent people with roots in Uttar Pradesh. ‘UP Ratna’ awards were given by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his wife and Kannauj MP Dimple Yadav, while 13 MoUs were also signed at the event.

The three day event concluded with a performance by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
