Bollywood mourns former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's demise

Mumbai, Aug 7 (IBNS): Several Bollywood celebrities have mourned the demise of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who passed away last night.

Swaraj, 67, suffered a massive heart attack at AIIMS in New Delhi.

Acting legend Amitabh Bachchan shared a picture of Swaraj on Twitter and said the void after her demise is impossible to be filled up.

Actor Akshay Kumar said, "Extremely sad to hear about the passing away of #SushmaSwaraj ji...she was such a dynamic leader, someone who was unanimously admired and respected by all. My thoughts and prayers with her family. May her soul rest in peace."

Rishi Kapoor said, "RIP. Sushma Swaraj ji."

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted, "Shocked to hear the sudden demise of @SushmaSwaraj ji. She was a gracious lady & astute parliamentarian. Did a excellent job as the External Affairs Minister. My heartfelt condolences to her family members. #OmShanti"

Iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar said, " Deeply shocked and saddened to hear about Sushma Swaraj ji’s sudden demise. A graceful and honest leader, a sensitive and selfless soul, a keen understanding of music and poetry and a dear friend. Our former external minister will be remembered fondly."

Other singing icon Asha Bhosle tweeted, "Sushmaji..we shall miss you dearly.."

Swaraj's last rites will be held at Lodhi Crematorium later, reports said.
