Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh turns 34

Mumbai, July 6 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh, who will soon be seen portraying the character of Indian cricket hero Kapil Dev in his upcoming movie 83, turned 34 on Saturday.

Ranveer, who is considered as one of the newest superstars of B-town, has worked in several memorable movies like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013) and Befikre.

Hashtag #HappyBirthdayRanveerSingh is currently trending on Twitter.

Ranveer Singh started his career in Bollywood in 2010 with a leading role in Yash Raj Films' romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat.

The film emerged as a critical and commercial success, earning him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Singh rose to prominence with starring roles in the acclaimed romantic drama Lootera (2013), Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romance Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), the action-drama Gunday (2014) and the comedy-drama Dil Dhadakne Do (2015).

Singh's acclaimed portrayals of Bajirao I and Alauddin Khilji in Bhansali's period dramas Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Padmaavat (2018).

He was last seen in two back-to-back hit movies like Simmba and Gully Boy.

His next movie 83 is directed by Kabir Khan.

The movie will recreate India's World Cup victory in 1983 under the leadership of Kapil Dev.
