Mumbai, Sept 22 (IBNS): Bollywood celebrities joined to congratulate actor Rajkummar Rao as his Newton was selected as Indiaâ€™s official entry at the Oscars 2018.

Newton, which has been directed by Amit V Masurkar, released across India on Friday.

The movie is India’s official entry for the the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars.

Actor Paresh Rawal tweeted: "Huge congrats to my favourite actor @RajkummarRao for Newton n hope you win the Oscar ! Good luck ."

Actor Anil Kapoor greeted the actor by saying: "Congratulations @RajkummarRao & the whole team of #Newton !! This is such great news! All the best!"

Actor Manoj Bajpayee said :"Congratulations @RajkummarRao @TripathiiPankaj @Amitmasurkar and the captain @ManMundra."

Filmmaker Aanand L Rai posted: "@RajkummarRao,you r d most precious actor we have in our industry.Thank u for being there unconditionally for stories to b told.#Newton22sep."

Actress Bhumi Pednekar tweeted: "Well deserved and congratulations team #Newton @RajkummarRao @Amit_Masurkar @ManMundra @cypplOfficial #PankajTripathi ."
