Toronto/IBNS: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau surprised Indian singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh by making a sudden visit to the latter's concert which was held at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

Trudeau made an entry into the concert before it began. The video of the Prime Minister's entry was posted on social media by Diljit.

The singer wrote on Instagram, "Diversity is Canada's strength. Prime Minister @justinpjtrudeau came to check out history in the making: we sold out the Rogers Centre!"

In the video, the two were seen hugging each other and then the Prime Minister uttering the singer's trademark line, "Punjabi aa gaye oye."

Trudeau dropped a few pictures from his meeting with Diljit on Instagram.

The Prime Minister wrote, "Stopped by the Rogers Centre to wish @diljitdosanjh good luck before his show.

"Canada is a great country — one where a guy from Punjab can make history and sell out stadiums. Diversity isn’t just our strength. It’s a super power."

On the work front, Diljit was last seen in Imtiaz Ali's last film, Amar Singh Chamkila, where he played the titular role.

Diljit was paired with Parineeti Chopra in the film, which was released on Netflix to rave reviews.
